Summer Social Enduro Series 2019/2020
The Summer Social Enduro Series will be run over 4 (four) rounds and consist of 2 at Parihaka and 2 at Glenbervie Forest Whangarei.
Entry Fees
Each round will cost $15 to enter for non members. Members are free!!! If a new member joins the club before the second round, they will save $10 over the entire series.
stages
All stages will be run on intermediate level and upwards trails and will occasionally use higher grade trails. Each stage will be marked and a stage list will be announced on the day at the rider briefing at 6:15 each race day.
Timing
Timing will be completed with Strava and ALL GPS data must be uploaded no later then 15 minutes after the posted closing time of each round. No changes or handicaps in timing will be awarded for incorrectly recorded data or GPS glitches irrespective of which way the timed segment may fall. +/-.
Eligibility
To be eligible for positions and spot prizes you must attend at least one round and register at each round prior to the posted starting time with the event organising team. Each rider MUST sign the waiver and adhere to the age group rules below.
Points
The series will comprise of 4 rounds and 4-6 stages per round. Points will be awarded from 1st to 10th with a 15, 13, 12, 10 and sequential number from there out. Bonus points (one) will be awarded per round to riders for attending.

Bicycles
ALL riders must use a suitable Mountain bike, have suitable safety gear including a helmet and must take steps to ensure their own safety when competing in these events. Helmets MUST BE WORN at all times while on the bike including liaison stages. Any rider seen not to be wearing their helmet while riding during the event may be excluded without warning.
E-Bikes
Due to the style of event, no category for E-Bikes will be made. E-Bike Riders will have options to either take their batteries out for each stage or have an optional 2:00 minute penalty applied to their final event time.
Riders
The Whangarei MTB Club holds no responsibility for injuries caused during this event and all riders must sign the disclaimer and entry form at each round. All riders under the age of 18 must have a legal parent or guardian sign the entry and waiver and any rider under the age of 14 require a legal guardian to ride with them.
Cancellations and postponements
If the event is canceled or postponed, the club will try as much as possible to re-hold the event. If not possible, the round missed will be dropped.
Social-ness
This event is a social, fun atmosphere for people to race and enjoy the company of other fellow riders. If you're caught being a douchebag, you will be asked to leave the events.
